Playing catch up

Hello to all ... four? ... of my loyal readers!!

Well, I hope it's more than that. =)

Still haven't missed a run. Go me!! I just got back from a 4.2 miler through my neighborhood. I'm working the late shift tonight to help out the copy desk and was a little bit worried about when I'd get in my run. Luckily, it's overcast and breezy, so it wasn't too bad out there.

I had some lower back pain today, which I ran through, but other than that, my training's going awesome. I'm still dropping weight. I lost almost 10 pounds since July when we truly started our Galloway training for Gasparilla. It's coming off very slowly, but I don't care. At least it's coming off! I'm down 80 pounds from February 2005 when I started Weight Watchers, and I'm down 33.2 pounds since December 2008 when I re-started WW for the third time. I'm only 5 pounds away from my lowest weight ever while on WW. Of course, it might take me 2 more months to lose that, but again ... I don't care! Between June 2007 and October 2008, I gained back 40 of the 85 pounds I lost. But now I have a good grasp on what to do diet-wise and training-wise to keep off -- and even lose -- during training.

I promise I will try to update this blog more often. We have a running blog at work now, which is getting awesome feedback, and I also Tweet and Facebook about my training, so this blog sometimes gets the shaft. I love writing it in so I'll make sure to make more time for it.

This weekend's 17 miles. Yay! I'm totally excited for it, too. The Palm Beach Half is in three weeks. We'll run 13.1 and then continue on for 6 more to get in 19, so we're not behind in our mileage. Should be interesting since I have to go to Orlando for Melissa and Joe's wedding the day before! But she understands that I can't stay the entire night, which I totally love her for! I'll make it work out.
